Dramatic Antics Year 4 with Rob Pudner

This summer term, Year 4 have has the opportunity to participate in drama workshops facilitated by Rob Pudner of ‘Entertainingly Different.’ Each class has had four Friday afternoon sessions throughout the term.

The sessions have involved activities aimed at enhancing focus, teamwork and creativity. Some of each session was guided by Rob but there were also times when the children were given freedom to express themselves and improvise their movements to music depending on how it made them feel and to create whole conversations from a single sentence.

The guided activities involved the art of plate spinning, passing the bell without being heard and working as a team to control getting a ball into a hole in the centre of a parachute. Some of the work got the children thinking and challenging gender stereotypes in the world of work (draw your own scientist).

All of the children have thoroughly enjoyed these sessions. Here are some of the things they have said.

Theo 4JD: ‘I have really enjoyed improvisation because we were given a sentence and we had to make a conversation from it!’
