"Je voudrais une glace, s’il vous plaît!"
This week, our Year 3 children brought their French learning to life with a wonderful ice cream parlour role play. As part of their topic “Les Glaces”, the children practised ordering ice creams in French.
Each child took turns as a customer, confidently using the phrase “Je voudrais…” (“I would like…”) followed by their chosen flavour. From fraise (strawberry) to chocolat (chocolate), their enthusiasm was infectious – and there were plenty of smiles as they tested out their new vocabulary in a real-life context.
