BBC Children in Need

This year Children in Need Day took place on 15th November which was the final day of Anti-Bullying Week. As a school we were focussing on children in need in our school community and we held an Odd Sock Day to raise funds for PSHE resources in the school.

However, Children in Need did not go unnoticed and a special visitor dropped by to say 'hello' to the children. He was very tall, quite furry and very yellow....of course, it was Pudsey Bear! Pudsey visited Bluecoat as part of his BBC Radio Devon mini tour across North Devon.

After a whistlestop walk around the school, Pudsey called into the drama Enrichment session with year 5s, where he was warmly greeted with a Christmas song that the children have just started learning as part of a Christmas presentation for the end of term. Pudsey certainly had the moves and danced along quite happily!

There is a Children in Need collection pot in Reception for any donations towards the charity.

Thank you to BBC Radio Devon for organising the visit.
