"On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, we will remember them"
This year, our pupil councillors attended the service of remembrance on Remembrance Sunday at Torrington cemetery.
Years 2 to 6 gathered together on Remembrance Day for our own service of remembrance, led by Mr Newall with the help of 2nd Officer Wingrove and our members of the Bideford and District Sea Cadets. Wreaths were presented by pupils in Years 2 and 3.
Year 1, Reception and Nursery had their own remembrance assemblies in their classrooms and everyone observed a minute’s silence at 11:00am.
All wreaths were then displayed in the main entrance hall, where we had a prayer space for anyone from the school community to add their own poppy prayers.
Lest we forget.
