As part of the Enrichment Afternoons last term, Year 5 worked incredibly hard in drama with Rob Pudner to gain confidence when expressing themselves and performing in front of others. The skills learnt have been used on a daily basis in class, and they have also been working hard on using school Talk Expectations to share ideas and work with one another.
As part of the programme of learning, the children were taken to watch a performance of Beauty and the Beast at Exeter Northcott Theatre on the 4th December 2019, to see professionals in action and to see if the children could identify some of the dramatic and performance skills they had been learning.
Following the performance, the children then visited the German Christmas Market as part of their ongoing work linked to their pen pals in Germany. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience a traditional German Market.
