The Reception children had a fabulous time finding out about how some people celebrate Chinese New Year. They made a huge dragon head for their dragon dance where all of them became the body and gave their families a shock as they entered the hall as a dragon! The children tried using chopsticks; made Chinese Zodiac calendars; tried Chinese traditional food; role played being in a Chinese restaurant, built their own Great Wall of China with the bricks on a rainy day; painted blossom trees and wrote their names in Chinese with Chinese characters. What a busy few weeks!
