Reception Easter Service

The Reception children had a fantastic experience going to St. Michael’s Church for their Easter Service.  The children sang beautifully and performed their poem about growing and the joy of creation with great enthusiasm.  Their question was, ‘Why do Christians put a cross in an Easter garden?’ They studied the story of Easter carefully and had lots of time to talk about their ideas together.  They made their own palm Easter crosses and their own miniature Easter gardens with a tomb and stone that was rolled away, seeds to grow, a pond, a sandy beach and a rocky path as well of course as a cross.

Come and speak to us about our learning, we’d love to share our thinking with you.
