Netball Club had a busy last few weeks in summer term with their Monday club sessions as well as playing their last league matches. The last three were at 'home' against Langtree, 'home' against Clinton and 'away' against Abbotsham. They did particularly well winning the last two matches, both teams excelled themselves as they had a mix of Year 6 and Year 5 playing the Clinton match and a Year 5 and Year 4 mix playing Abbotsham. Their match with Langtree was well fought and it really was a great learning curve playing against a very experienced county champion team but, not surprisingly, they lost that particular match.
The Netball Club were all really pleased when Mrs Gibbons, P.E. Co-ordinator, surprised them with some lovely new netball bibs (2 sets in blue and yellow) and 2 new match balls to use!
Both Mrs Davenport, who has been helping this summer term, and Mrs Hogan are looking forward to running Netball Club again on a Monday in September, and they hope that there will be another North Devon League to give the team match experiences beyond our own school matches!
