To mark the Christian festival of Epiphany, Chapters 1 and 2 held their annual Toy Service where they donated a wide variety of their own toys to children less fortunate, demonstrating so beautifully their ‘Culture of Kindness’.
The Service was led by Liz Harris, sister of Mags Zaharia who runs Little John’s House in Romania. Liz spoke to the children about where the toys would be going and what it means to the children who receive them. She also introduced her daughter Rosie Harris and also Neve Cox, two former pupils of Bluecoat who shared some of their experiences last summer when they spent time in Romania working with some of the children who will receive the toys.
Thank you to all the children who gave their toys and to everyone who contributed to the service in
one way or another. It was lovely to welcome some parents too.
