'Love is in the air' in Year One as each class staged a Jewish Wedding. They spent over three weeks organising the wedding. They helped to make the flowers, write the vows and prayers and everyone took part in the wedding service. This helped to bring the children’s learning about Jewish weddings to life. After the wedding ceremony children enjoyed their wedding reception with lots of Jewish traditions, yummy food and even a wedding disco! Children had plenty of time to party until the early hours of the afternoon!
Many thanks to the parents and carers who provided the amazing wedding outfits and flowers and also to our fantastic Julie Turner for baking a proper wedding cake; well-done Julie, it was delicious!
