Each year Appledore Book Festival work with local schools to inspire, engage and excite young writers. Guy Bass certainly did just that when he came to visit the Year 6 children of Torrington Bluecoat Primary School.
On Tuesday 5th October, the award-winning children's author gave an assembly to the eagerly awaiting Year 6s. Guy is best known for his popular books including Spynosaur, Stitch Head, The Legend of Frog, Dinkin Dings, Atomic! and Monster Madness/Monster Mayhem. The assembly was dynamic and engaging and the children really enjoyed hearing about what inspired Guy to become an author. Who knows...we could have a future best selling author right here at Bluecoats!
