On Friday Lola from Year 5 went to the awards ceremony for the School Arts Competition at the Burton Art Gallery to be awarded a certificate for her brilliant use of colour and textures in her clay model of a dragon eye. Her model, made as part of the Year 5 topic on Vikings, was striking with a selection of scales in a different style and all coloured in a deep, dark green skin colour. Well done Lola!
Bluecoat C of E Primary School entered several pieces of art and as a result we achieved an outstanding award for art at school. This is a fabulous achievement showing the creativity and innovation of our children. The prize was a cheque for £100 made out to the school we will very soon be putting to good use.
