The Bluecoat Group recently visited Rosemoor Gardens as part of their topic Muck, Mess & Mixtures. Pupils enjoyed a science workshop in the morning exploring soil; how it's formed, why it looks different in different locations, why it's so important for plants and the habitat it sustains for various creatures. Pupils investigated soil ph levels as well as measuring soil temperatures in various locations across the gardens.
The rain cleared after our workshop which allowed an opportunity to explore the amazing sculptures on display and to view the beautiful autumn colours dripping from the trees.
