In the Nursery, children have been learning the story of ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ thinking about the kindness of the Elves helping with the work. As part of this they explored their foot size, drawing around their feet and comparing the size; they tried on different shoes; created their own cobbler and shoe shop, as well as painting each other’s feet to print and trying their hand at sewing a collaborative piece of artwork. The children really enjoyed this learning sequence and will happily measure or paint your feet if you drop in to see them!
