The Bluecoat Group were excited to have some furry visitors recently. Two ferrets named Fred & Ted paid a visit and illustrated their skills as nimble escapologists and canny hunters. Pupils prepped the classroom by making a ferret run and by creating some ferret toys using natural products from forest school. As we soon learnt, ferrets love to play and before long they were scaling the walls of the run and showing us how quick they can be darting across the classroom. This proved a big hit with the children who enjoyed enticing them back to their run with tasty treats and dangling of stick toys. Fred & Ted were a big hit and we'd love to have them back sometime...
