On Monday 22nd May, Quirk Theatre visited Year 5. The company are planning a show based on the story “Five Children and It,” and asked the children in 5D and 5S to help with costume design.
They played some games and learned about the process involved in designing costumes for a stage show, before listening to an extract from the story. This helped the children work in teams to design the costume for the Psammead, which will be used as inspiration for the show!
Year 5 are really looking forward to being shown the final designs for the show and seeing if they can spot some of their ideas. Keep an eye out for more details about the performance at the Plough Arts Centre, hopefully later this year.
