As a celebration of their learning and to mark the release of their butterflies, on Wednesday 19th July children in Reception came dressed as bugs and butterflies. The children have been looking after the caterpillars for more than 3 weeks and it took 7 days for the cocoons to hatch into butterflies. The children all went down to the Forest School area and waved goodbye as the butterflies flew away. They then enjoyed skipping and running through the forest school like butterflies.
