Skeletons in Year 3

Last Friday, Year 3 had a special visit from Dean as part of their Science week. Dean presented them with an array of bones and explained that they had come from deer which had been found at Rosemoor.

The children had lots of practical fun trying to put the skeleton together, talking about the types of bones and joints it had. They had a great time noticing some of the similarities between the human and animal skeleton.

What the children had to say:

"I quite enjoyed seeing what was inside the deer. Putting the skeleton together was like bringing it back to life" - Sebastian

"The deer skeleton has 327 bones and the human skeleton has 206" - Josh A

"We put the bones together to make a skeleton. It was really good." - Sophie

"I liked connecting the bones" - Max W
