Year 6 Clay Sculptures

As storm Agnes gathered momentum last week, a group of year 6 pupils had to abandon their planned Forest School session due to high winds. Instead, the pupils got to enjoy a session making clay heads. The attention to detail and concentration was notable and the children were all really proud of their creations.

What the children had to say:

  • "I love clay and really enjoy it. I like how it feels and it is satisfying when you cut it" - Weylin
  • "I've really enjoyed working with clay and would like to do more of it in school" - Leo
  • "Clay is a great and natural art form. It's easy and fun" - Ralfe
  • "Feeling clay is amazing" - Cai
  • "Clay is really soft and feels nice when you make things with it" - Charlie
