RNLI Water Safety Assembly

As we head towards the warmer weather, visits to the coast will become more frequent. You can't beat a sunny day on the beach, but whilst it is lots of fun it is also important to know the risks in order to stay safe.

On Friday 26th April, two lifeguards from the RNLI visited chapter 3 to talk about water safety. They helped children to understand the importance of their uniform, the meanings of the different flags that are seen on the beach and how to spot a rip current. Most importantly, they encouraged the children to consider how to react if they were in danger themselves when in the water or if they spotted someone else in danger.

A big thankyou to Eli and Ethan for coming to see us and sharing this important information. They commented on how well our children behaved and engaged with the session which is always lovely feedback to receive.
