Year 4 celebrated the end of their French unit, Au Salon de Thé (At the Tearoom), with a delicious picnic of French cuisine - the only catch being the children had to order the treats using the French language they had learned!
The children had to first say ‘Je voudrais’ (I would like) and then select from:
- un croissant
- une part de gâteau au chocolat
- une brioche
- un sandwich au fromage / jambon
- une crepe
- un jus d’orange
They then ended their sentence with ‘s’il vous plait’ (please). Thankfully everyone managed to place their order and enjoy their picnic in the sun. What a fantastically delicious way to bring their learning to life!
