Progress Made During Groundforce Afternoon

Sincere thanks to those who stayed behind yesterday to make some headway during our Groundforce Afternoon. We were able to tick a few jobs off the list which is always a great sense of achievement!

We moved the mountain of chippings from the car park and redistributed them to areas around the HiveHub and playground. Chalkboards got a fresh coat of paint and a wood frame was installed to create an EYFS digging area (which is already proving very popular with the children!)

We are also creating a Prayer Garden in memory of Mrs Flower, which is really starting to take shape. The 'flower lady', created using turf and the soil during Arts Week, was sown with wild flower seeds by the children. Yesterday, Dean and Mr Bennett started creating the fencing around the area.

There is plenty more to be done across the school site, so we will be holding another event in the coming weeks. It would be lovely to see some more volunteers on hand.
